The Colorado Rapids have signed 22-year-old midfielder Bismark “Nana” Adjei-Boateng from Manchester City, the club announced Tuesday.
The 5-foot-10, 160-pound Ghanaian was signed by Manchester City in 2011 and sent on loan at Strømsgodset IF of the Norwegian first division for the last four seasons. During that time he scored 18 goals in 101 games across all competitions.
“Bringing Nana to the club was a key part of our offseason strategy and we’re delighted to welcome such a promising young talent to our club,” Rapids sporting director Pádraig Smith said in a news release announcing the signing.
