COMMERCE CITY — Nobody around Dick’s Sporting Goods Park could remember a time they’ve seen any soccer team score on itself twice in one game. If memory served the people of Colorado correct, they certainly had never seen the Rapids score on themselves twice in one half.
On Saturday night, the Rapids walked back to their locker room at halftime to a rousing round of boos from the nearly 11,061 in attendance. The Burgundy XI had netted two on themselves and allowed three in total in the first half.
At the end of full time, Houston had pounded the Rapids to a 4-1 result.
