Commerce City — The Colorado Rapids earned their first home win of 2019 behind an exciting offensive performance and a late 89th-minute goal by Nicolás Mezquida. Saturday night’s 3-2 win over the Columbus Crew featured two blown leads by the boys in burgundy.

Each of those times the Rapids led, the advantage lasted less than 10 minutes of game time. The third Rapids lead was taken so late, Columbus did not have much of a chance to answer.

It was the first time since St. Patrick’s Day that the Rapids did something productive at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
