The Colorado Rapids have announced that midfielder Johan Blomberg will finish the remainder of his contract on loan with Swedish club GIF Sundsvall. Currently 16th (last place) in the Swedish Allsvenskan, the Sundsvall has a record of 2-6-11.
Executive Vice President & General Manager Padraig Smith thanked Blomberg “for his service to the Rapids over the last two seasons. We wish him nothing but the best as he continues his career in Sweden.”
Blomberg appeared in 24 games with the Rapids last season, but had seen the pitch just three times for a total of 88 minutes in regular MLS games in 2019 (he played 78 minutes against Arsenal before subbing out).
