Conor Casey, the Rapids’ all-time leading scorer, former MLS Cup MVP and one-time US international can now add Colorado Soccer Association Hall of Fame inductee to his list of achievements.
Casey, who was named First Team Assistant Coach for the Rapids only last Thursday, was honored at the CSA’s annual awards evening on Saturday night for Outstanding Achievement.
“It’s amazing,” Casey said of the award. “I grew up here, my whole life playing for this state, for these people, and now that my (playing) career is over, it really feels as though it’s come full circle being back here.
