Week after week, the Colorado Rapids show that they are legitimate contenders in the Western Conference. After a win tonight, Colorado sit just one point behind the LA Galaxy in the conference standings with 34 points to LA’s 35 — but with two games in hand.
The Rapids were the better team for most of the night, except for the few minutes in which LA Galaxy’s Rayan Raveloson leveled it up just before halftime.
The game started with a penalty kick in the 12th minute, awarded to Jonathan Lewis for getting dragged down in the box.
