Rapids confirm 8 more positive COVID-19 cases

After the Colorado Rapids game against Sporting Kansas City was canceled on Sunday, September 27 due to four positive COVID-19 cases, Major League Soccer confirmed that as of Monday, September 28, one additional player and seven staff members have now received confirmed positive tests.

The team has not trained since the initial positive test results and all players and staff who were confirmed positive have been in isolation. Players were already getting tested every other day, but since the tests came back positive on the 24th, players and technical staff have been getting tested for COVID-19 daily.
