Rapids acquire Goalkeeper Andrew Dykstra from SKC

The Colorado Rapids announced that they have traded Sporting Kansas City a second-round draft pick in the 2020 draft in exchange for goalkeeper Andrew Dykstra. He will be added to the supplemental roster.

The 32-year-old started three times for SKC in 2017 and earned a shut-out against FC Dallas in October. When Tim Melia was injured towards the end of last season, Dykstra played in the Western Conference Knockout Round on October 26th, making four saves and stopping a penalty shot in extra time. Kansas City ended up losing to the Houston Dynamo 1-0.
