Thursday morning the Colorado Rapids announced the club has acquired Dominique Badji, in what is proving to be a busy summer transfer window after adding midfielder Mark-Anthony Kaye on Tuesday.
The club sent $50,000 in 2022 General Allocation Money to Nashville SC for the veteran Senegalese striker, with another $50,000 in GAM if the Rapids extend Badji’s contract for 2022.
Badji re-joins Colorado after leaving in the Kellyn Acosta trade with FC Dallas midway through 2018. He joined the Rapids from Boston University via the MLS Superdraft, and has put up 33 goals and 18 assists 146 appearances in MLS, 24 of those goals coming with the Rapids.
