The Rapids secured their fifth consecutive home win by beating Rocky Mountain Cup rivals Real Salt Lake 1-0 on Saturday at Dick‘s Sporting Goods Park. Jermaine Jones picked up his third goal in burgundy and was the difference on the night as Colorado extended its lead at the top of the Supporters’ Shield to three points.
Following the game, head coach Pablo Mastroeni, Zac MacMath and Kevin Doyle spoke to the media about the night, their place in MLS and getting prepared for a quick turnaround game on Wednesday against Sporting Kansas City.
