In the second game of a double game week, we saw many of the younger Colorado Rapids players get a start against the Philadelphia Union. Caleb Calvert put in his first MLS goal (and the Rapids first away goal in open play) and the Rapids went into the half 1-0. In the second half, Calvert saw two yellows within a minute, and the Rapids went down to 10 men. CJ Sapong put Philadelphia on the board with a penalty kick and Haris Medunjanin sealed the win for the Union by scoring the team’s second goal in the 75th minute.
