With Inter Miami CF and Nashville SC joining MLS this upcoming season, the league has announced its new conference alignment. Nashville will play in the west, therefore slated to play the Rapids in Colorado and Tennessee in 2020, and Miami will compete in the East.
Each club will still play a 34-game regular season, with 17 home and 17 away matches. The clubs will play each of its 12 conference opponents twice, home and away, and play an additional 10 matchups against opponents in the opposing conference. This means the Rapids may face the new Miami side, but this will not be known until the full schedule announcement.
