MLS revises 2020 transfer windows

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, FIFA has allowed Major League Soccer to revise the 2020 transfer windows to:

  • Two-day transfer window: Mon., July 6—Tues., July 7
  • Secondary transfer window: Wed., Aug. 12—Thurs., Oct. 29

The two-day transfer window is to allow the clubs to bolster their roster ahead of the MLS is Back Tournament and has several restrictions:

  • No trades among MLS teams.
  • No DP or TAM signings allowed.
  • International transfers are only allowed if the player is already in the US or Canada, already has his work authorization, and is able to travel without restrictions.
