As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, we’ll be exploring different aspects of the mental side of sports each Monday in a series titled ‘Mindful Monday’. In our third installment, we talked to former Rapids defender Marvell Wynne.
Wynne played for the Rapids from 2010-2014 and was crucial to the team's championship win in 2010. Later in his career, he was sidelined due to a heart condition, which took his life down a different path than he anticipated. Wynne talks the significance of mental fortitude when he was a player and how that journey evolved with his diagnosis and subsequent retirement.
