Colorado Rapids earned a hard-fought 2-2 draw on the road against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Saturday night.
The Rapids’ club-record unbeaten streak was extended to 13 games thanks to Axel Sjöberg’s last second equalizer after Cristian Techera had given the home side a 2-1 lead in the 87th minute.
Vancouver grabbed their first lead of the game behind a 10th minute strike from Kendall Waston. The Costa Rican international sent a header past Tim Howard after his compatriot Christian Bolaños found him at the back post with a perfectly-placed cross.
The Rapids responded well and quickly but headed into the locker room down a score despite putting six shots on frame.
