The Colorado Rapids Soccer Club battled to a 0-0 draw against FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium, earning their second tie in the last three away matches.
Despite being outshot throughout the contest, the Rapids came close to taking the lead twice inside the first fifteen minutes. Forward Kevin Doyle had the first chance at the 10th minute but his shot from the corner of the box went sailing high.
Three minutes later, Dominique Badji would be denied by Dallas keeper Jesse Gonzalez with a solid hand save at the near post.
Momentum slowly switched to Dallas’ favor, but the Rapids would stand firm defensively, in large part due to Tim Howard’s numerous saves.
