Two goals from Yura Movsisyan, either side of the break, cancelled out Shkëlzen Gashi's early opener at Rio Tinto Stadium on Friday night and, in doing so, allowed Real Salt Lake to snatch back the Rocky Mountain Cup, but more importantly, lifted RSL over Colorado Rapids in the standings.
The 2-1 win for RSL was fully deserved. Only exceptional work from Tim Howard prevented an even greater margin of loss. Movsisyan only played 76 minutes, but in that time he scored twice, missed a penalty, hit the post and watched the Rapids keeper leap to deny him another chance of a hat-trick with one of numerous world-class saves.
