Charlotte Independence kept the good times rolling on Saturday with a 1-0 win at Ottawa Fury, to register a fourth success on the bounce.
The Canadian club had gone six games without defeat, but that came to an end when Yann Ekra drilled in the contest’s only goal with just seven minutes remaining.
Andrew Dykstra and Sam Vines, both on loan from the Rapids, played the entire match for the USL affiliate.
Victory lifted the Independence to fourth in the Eastern Conference. They sit just three points behind leaders FC Cincinnati, but with a game in hand.
