Over the weekend, U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Dave Sarachan announced his 24-man roster for upcoming matches against Brazil and Mexico. The roster includes mostly younger guys, with a couple veterans and a couple new faces as well. One of the younger players on his list, who is also somewhat of a veteran, is our very own Kellyn Acosta.
The 23-year-old has 17 caps with the senior national team (one goal) and started in four out of five of his appearances to help his team win the CONCACAF 2017 Gold Cup. Acosta came up through FC Dallas’ youth system and was a part of their club from 2009-2018 until he came to the Colorado Rapids.
