Kei Kamara shared on Instagram earlier today that he's been honored with a mural in his home country of Sierra Leone. The mural depicts former players Junior Parade, Junior Tumbu and Mohamed Kallon and resides at the Siaka Stevens Stadium, the national stadium in the country's capital, of Freetown.
The 35-year-old striker came to the United States when he was 14 years old as a refugee to escape the civil war. He's represented Sierra Leone 29 times and scored five goals.
Kamara is also an influential member in the community through his Heart Shaped Hands Foundation which provides scholarships to students who demonstrate a willingness to continue their education and a commitment to success.
