One piece at a time, the 2018 roster is coming together. Colorado Rapids announced today that they had acquired former LA Galaxy homegrown Jack McBean in exchange for a conditional fourth round pick in the 2019 MLS Superdraft.
McBean, a striker, tallied 2 goals in 2017 for Los Angeles in 715 minutes of play. Both goals came against the Rapids on June 21 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. The almost 23 year-old (his birthday is tomorrow, December 15, so happy birthday Jack!) is a native of Newport Beach, California. He signed with the Galaxy at the age of 16, becoming the youngest player in club history to sign a contract, to start a game, and to score a goal, all of which came in his first ever MLS match in 2011.
