It was a day for debuts in Carson, California as the U.S. men's national team topped Costa Rica 1-0 to open their 2020 schedule.
In all seven players made their debut for the Red, White & Blue. Of note for Rapids fans was, of course, Sam Vines. The Development Academy product became the first Homegrown Player in club history to appear for the United States senior team. Vines' Rapids teammate, Jonathan Lewis saw action with the senior team for the sixth time as he entered the match in 73rd minute.
