According to a U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team (USWNT) news release, Lindsey Horan will not play in the upcoming SheBelieves Cup tournament scheduled to start Thursday in Carson, California.
The veteran irritated her knee in France while playing with her new club Olympique Lyonnais. The Colorado Rush product and 2021 U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year is currently stateside with her teammates and is being evaluated by the USWNT medical staff.
In 2019, the durable midfielder missed the same tournament due to an injury. She sat out the one-week competition and watched the Lady Yanks take a rare second-place trophy home to their headquarters in Chicago.
