The Colorado Rapids had a lot of hope going into the match tonight against Real Salt Lake. They haven’t won in Rio Tinto Stadium (ever), but only needed two goals to bring the Rocky Mountain Cup back to the Centennial State, and the offense has been playing well. Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be.
The game was scoreless after the first 45 minutes, even though the Rapids dominated the first half, putting continued pressure on RSL and getting four shots on target (15 shots total).
Andre Shinyashiki was working Brooks Lennon in the first half.
