In a game that saw nine yellow cards (three to the Rapids), the Colorado Rapids extend their unbeaten streak to nine games in a row in a 2-2 draw against the Portland Timbers in Providence Park on Wednesday night.
It was a game that the Rapids surely should have won — the Burgundy Boys went up twice and let a 10-man Timbers’ squad back into it both times. After failing to get the win on Saturday against the LA Galaxy, the Rapids had every opportunity to bounce back and get their third-ever win in Portland.
