That’s it, folks. The Colorado Rapids have finished the 2021 campaign with a bang, destroying the Los Angeles Football Club 5-2 in front of a 16,000+ fans at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
The Burgundy Boys looked strong from the start, taking advantage of LAFC with every opportunity. William Yarbrough came up with a massive save against LA’s only shot on goal in the first half, while the Rapids got off four shots on goal on the other half, two of which found the back of the net.
Jonathan Lewis and Kellyn Acosta almost connected twice in the first 45, but this incredible pass and fantastic first goal kicked scoring off in the 18th minute.
