The Colorado Rapids extend their unbeaten streak to three and get their first road win of the season by beating the Vancouver Whitecaps 1-0 tonight at BC Place. It was also the Burgundy Boys’ first road win since September 9, 2017.
The Whitecaps dominated the first half in a lot of ways (possession, shots, etc.), but weren’t able to capitalize on any of the Rapids’ mistakes. Tim Howard worked much harder than Whitecaps keeper Brian Rowe and had a few key saves. Jack Price and Edgar Castillo earned yellow cards in the first half, which means that Price will miss Wednesday’s game due to a yellow card accumulation suspension.
