Giles Barnes made his debut for the Colorado Rapids tonight after being signed just yesterday and was a bright spot in an otherwise fairly boring match. Barnes ended up subbing out early in the second half due to an ankle injury in the first half, but had a few great passes and showed a real spark when he was on the pitch.
Former Rapids Jared Watts and Luis Gil both started for Houston, and Gil had Houston’s best chance in the first half, forcing Tim Howard and Kortne Ford to come up with a couple saves.
