The Colorado Rapids came up just short in an entertaining 3-2 loss to their archrival from the wrong side of the Rockies, Real Salt Lake.
The Rapids surprised many with a 4-2-3-1 formation, leaving Kei Kamara alone up top. Jonathan Lewis started in midfield and Abubakar on the back line.
The Rapids did not see a lot of possession for the first 25 minutes, with the Rapids counting on long balls from the defensive half for Kamara to chase down.
In the 25th, Abubakar's foul brought about a PK, which was converted.
