The Colorado Rapids travel to Southern California to take on the LA Galaxy tonight for another opportunity to climb up in the standings. The Western Conference is a tight one with the Galaxy in 5th place with 15 points and the Rapids sitting below the playoff line with 13. There is a 10 point difference between first-place Seattle Sounders and last-place San Jose Earthquakes (who the Rapids play on Wednesday) so it really can be anybody’s race.
The Galaxy are on a six-game unbeaten streak, while the Rapids are more up and down having tied, won, and lost in their last three.
