Deshorn Brown’s return to Commerce City will have to wait.
Brown, a striker for D.C. United, was slated to play Saturday in his club’s match against the Colorado Rapids at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. But a concussion sustained last weekend has the Jamaican international sidelined indefinitely, forcing him to stay home.
Brown spent his first two full seasons in Major League Soccer suiting up for the Rapids (2013-15). After transferring to a Norwegian club after one appearance in his third year, he has not played in Colorado — a place that still holds special meaning in his heart.
