Major League Soccer has opened voting for the 2021 MLS All-Star Game that will be held at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles on August 25.
Twenty-six players will be chosen to participate in the game:
- 12 will be selected through a voting process by MLS players, fans, and media (each of the three groups will get 1⁄3 of the total vote)
- 12 will be selected by MLS All-Star head coach and host team head coach Bob Bradley
- 2 will be selected by MLS Commissioner Don Garber
This year, MLS has categorized players based on where they are typically utilized, which means players can be selected in seven specific positions for the first time in MLS All-Star voting history: goalkeeper, right back, center back, left back, defensive midfielder, attacking midfielder, and forward/winger.
