While it’s obvious that Pablo Mastroeni and the Colorado Rapids are still tweaking the lineup (especially on offense), the Starting XI today vs. Houston Dynamo was pretty close to what we were seeing towards the end of last year:
I would love to see Shkëlzen Gashi in the 10 instead of Dillon Powers to see what that group could do. But I digress.
The defense was tested early, but for about 30 or so minutes, the Rapids kept the ball forward. They pushed up and got numbers in the box (which is what Pablo has been talking about this preseason), but the service into the box needed some work.
