Dennis Castillo is finally a member of the Colorado Rapids, the club announced Friday.
The Costa Rican defender was the Rapids' second- round pick (No. 37 overall) in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft and was officially added to the roster after months of training with the club.
"He has all the fundamentals to go far," Rapids VP of soccer operations and technical director Paul Bravo said in a news release Friday. Bravo also praised Castillo's technique and attitude.
Castillo, 22, will occupy an international roster spot and he will be available for selection Saturday against the Seattle Sounders FC.
