While the stats indicate that Sporting Kansas City dominated the Colorado Rapids for pretty much all 90+ minutes, the only stat that really matters came out in our favor. Thanks to stellar service from Shkelzen Gashi, the Rapids most dangerous opportunities (and only goal) came off of set pieces. It wasn’t pretty, but sending Peter Vermes and company home with zero points in a game they thought they should have won feels pretty sweet.
And a huge KUDOS to homegrown rookie Kortne Ford for his first MLS goal!
The Rapids are still in last place in the Western Conference with a 3-8-1 record and 10 points.
