This offseason is as critical an offseason as the Rapids have had in recent memory. Last offseason clearly showed a lack of urgency on the part of the Rapids’ front office. A deep and improbable run into the 2016 playoffs gave the notion that they were set and ready to continue more of the same (and further) in 2017.
I’m actually more hopeful exiting this season because, frankly, everyone in the soccer world sees that the Rapids need a major overhaul. That’s why a game like the one last night against Real Salt Lake, a game our boys won 1-0, was a game they had no business winning.
