The United States Women's Soccer Team (USWNT) did not disappoint an exuberant and patriotic crowd at Dick's Sporting Goods Park Saturday evening in Commerce City, Colorado. With five players with ties to the Centennial State, Head Coach Vlatko Andonovski deployed four talented locals—natives Sophia Smith, Lindsey Horan and Mallory Pugh, and University of Colorado Boulder grad Taylor Kornieck to tackle FIFA Women's 23rd ranked Columbia. Windsor, Colorado's Jaelin Howell did not suit up in the first of two friendlies with Columbia. Smith and Kornieck scored all the goals needed to defeat the Las Cafeteras, 3-nil.
