Colorado Rapids officially sign center back Andreas Maxsø, the club announced Friday morning. The contract is a three-year deal with a club option for 2026. He joins the Burgundy Boys for Superligaen side Brøndby IF in Denmark. Maxsø will occupy both a Designated Player and International Roster Slot.
Sources on both sides of the pond have told Burgundy Wave that Maxsø was out of contract this summer and had a buyout clause in his contract. It was believed to be around €1.5 million. Brøndby have not gotten in the way of transfer and any transfer fee is believed to be less than €1 million.
