Colorado Rapids announced today that the club has signed 2016 MLS SuperDraft selection goalkeeper Chris Froschauer out of Ohio State University.
"We would like to officially welcome Chris to the club," said Paul Bravo, Technical Director and VP of Soccer Operations. “He has earned the right to be in our group and we believe he possesses the characteristics to be successful in this league."
Froschauer, 21, was taken with the second pick of the third round, 43rd overall by the Rapids. He was a first team All-Region and All-Big Ten selection and helped guided the Buckeyes to their fourth Big Ten title in school history.
