The Colorado Rapids announced today that the club had reached a “mutual agreement” with Bismark “Nana” Adjei-Boateng to terminate the remainder of his contract. The midfielder was signed by the club in 2017, making 18 appearances that season. He fractured three lumbar vertebrae after being undercut by Real Salt Lake’s Luke Mulholland in April and never really got back into the swing of things that year.
Boateng saw the pitch 20 times last year under Anthony Hudson and hadn’t played a single minute in 2019.
In the official press release from the club, Executive Vice President & General Manager Padraig Smith said: “We would like to thank Nana for his service to the Rapids over the two-and-a-half years he was in Colorado.
