The Colorado Rapids released their full 34-game schedule for the 2016 regular season on Thursday.
The Rapids will open the year on the road at Avaya Stadium against San Jose Earthquakes on March 6 at 1 p.m., then return to Dick's Sporting Goods Park for their home opener on March 12 at 5 p.m. at Dick's Sporting Goods Park against star-studded Los Angeles Galaxy.
Colorado will again — for the 21st consecutive season — host a Fourth-of-July match. This year's opponent will be the defending MLS Cup Champion Portland Timbers.
The Rapids will also try to retain the Rocky Mountain Cup against rivals Real Salt Lake.
