The Colorado Rapids on Tuesday announced they have recalled five players from the United Soccer League.
Forward Caleb Calvert, goalkeeper Andrew Dykstra, midfielder Ricardo Perez and defender Sam Vines were recalled from the Charlotte Independence, the Rapids’ USL affiliate. Midfielder Sam Hamilton was recalled from the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.
Hamilton, 22, starred with the Denver Pioneers and was the Rapids’ first-round pick in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft. Perez and Vines are signed to homegrown contracts with Colorado.
