COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (Tuesday, June 14, 2016) – Colorado Rapids announced today that defender Dennis Castillo has rejoined the club following his second stint with the club’s USL affiliate Charlotte Independence of the United Soccer League (USL).
The Rapids also announced that forward Caleb Calvert has been loaned to Charlotte Independence. Per the Right of Recall incorporated in the loan agreement, the Rapids retain the right to recall Calvert at any point during the MLS regular season, subject to MLS roster compliance guidelines.
“We felt it was important for Dennis to get match sharpness and there was an opportunity for him to do that at Charlotte Independence," said Paul Bravo, Vice President of Soccer Operations and Technical Director.
