The Colorado Rapids begin a three-match road trip Saturday with the second leg of the Rocky Mountain Cup — a rivalry they are desperate to finally notch a win in.
Real Salt Lake is 2-0 against Colorado this season and the Rapids will need a blowout victory to win the rivalry for the first time since 2015. The Rapids have had trouble containing Damir Kreilach, among others.
“He’s a talented, confident player,” Rapids coach Robin Fraser said. “He’s very comfortable in different parts of the field and a real threat on set pieces.
