COMMERCE CITY — Some hardcore soccer fans in Denver curried a laugh when they found out Saturday night’s Colorado Rapids game would be impacted by the plague. Some joked that the product has been a plague for a near-decade.
Others, however, found some levity in the situation, given yet another tough season.
“It’s a shame that we are known for the plague right now,” longtime Rapids fan Jon Boraz said while wearing a plague doctor’s mask. “I guess we’ll just embrace it. We’re trying to just have some fun with it and make the most of the situation.
