The Colorado Rapids are creeping closer and closer to clinching a playoff spot as they take on the Vancouver Whitecaps FC today in British Columbia. While MLSSoccer.com reported that four teams could clinch playoff spots today (LA Galaxy, Toronto FC, New York Red Bulls, and New York FC), one reader calculated that if the stars aligned, the Rapids could technically clinch this weekend, too, with a Colorado win + a Seattle loss/tie + RSL loss/tie.
The good news is that the Rapids have scored twice in their last two games against the Whitecaps, both in BC and in Colorado.
