The Colorado Rapids have finally conquered their COVID-19 outbreak and are taking to the field for the first time in a month to play Sporting Kansas City.
The Rapids are 11th in the Western Conference (5-4-4, 19 points). They have 4-5 games in hand and are 4th in the West in points per game (PPG). If MLS decides to scrap the four games that haven’t been rescheduled and determine playoffs by PPG—which is what it sounds like they’re leaning towards—the Rapids would be in. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t looking for any and all points.
