Colorado Rapids announce that Kevin Doyle is retiring

The Colorado Rapids announced today that Kevin Doyle will be retiring from professional soccer, effective immediately. In the official announcement from the team, Doyle said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time with the Colorado Rapids and playing in MLS has been a fantastic experience. The staff, players and fans here have made me, and more importantly, my family feel at home in Denver and we will miss it.”

The Irish forward appeared in 71 regular season matches in the 2.5 years he was with the Rapids, earning 16 goals and eight assists in that time.
