The Colorado Rapids have added an MLS veteran to their roster today, acquiring midfielder/winger Michael Barrios from FC Dallas in exchange for an international roster spot and the 15th overall pick in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft. The Rapids also gained the 21st overall pick in the draft.
The 29-year-old Barrios has been with Dallas since he came to MLS in 2015 and is the club’s second all-time leader in combined goals and assists (75). He’s been among the league’s top assist leaders twice: T-4 in 2017 and T-3 in 2019. The midfielder can also play forward and on the wing.
