Colorado Rapids Soccer Club announced today the acquisition of goalkeeper Andrew Dykstra from Sporting Kansas City in exchange for a natural second-round draft pick in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft. He will be added to the team’s supplemental roster.
“Andrew provides us with important depth at the goalkeeping position,” said Rapids Executive Vice President and General Manager Pádraig Smith. “Alongside Tim Howard and Zac MacMath, Andrew joins one of the very best goalkeeping units in Major League Soccer and we look forward to welcoming him to Colorado.”
Dykstra, 32, made three starts in four appearances in 2017, recording one shutout.
